About this opportunity

 

Cumberland Council is seeking a Level 2 Social Worker to join our dedicated Kinship Team which is currently hosted across the county. In this role, you’ll work closely with children, families, and carers to assess complex needs, build strong relationships, and develop tailored support plans that prioritise stability and positive outcomes for children in kinship care.

 

The team is responsible for undertaking Regulation 24 assessments, kinship carer dual assessments and supporting kinship carers. Within the role you would contribute to permanence planning and ensure children's needs remain central and work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure safe and stable arrangements for children. You would also support the delivery of training, development, and reflective practice sessions

 

We’re looking for a qualified social worker (Social Work Degree/CQSW/CSS/DipSW) registered with Social Work England post ASYE. You’ll bring an understanding of permanence planning, trauma-informed practice, and multi-agency collaboration. St John Henry Newman Catholic School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional who is passionate about supporting pupil’s learning and development in our popular oversubscribed school.
You will be part of a team who work collaboratively in class and provide support to a number of pupils with special educational needs. You will work under the direct instruction of teaching staff and the SENDCo, usually in the classroom with the teacher to support access to learning for pupils, as well as planning and delivering focused interventions. 

The successful candidate will be:
•    passionate about supporting pupils to gain an inspirational education to achieve their potential 
•    highly organised and able to prioritise workload, with the ability to work flexibly in a fast-moving environment
