Hours: School term-time only - Two roles 20 hours per week, One role 30 hours per week

About this opportunity

 

CTOT, the Council’s in-house Transport Team, are looking to recruit a number of Drivers across Cumberland who can drive a minibus and hold a D1 driving licence entitlement.

 

This is an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling role and you will contribute to the delivery providing transport for mainstream and SEND pupils, delivering a quality service to our passengers.  We are looking for compassionate, proactive people who can work as part of a team and react to challenges, whilst providing a high standard of passenger safety and care throughout the journey. Experience of working with children is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. You must be able to keep accurate records.

 

We are advertising for 3 Passenger Carrying Vehicle Drivers. Please see below breakdown of hours and pro rata equivalent salary:

 

2 x Vacancies for 20 hours per week, school term-time only:

Pro rata equivalent salary £13,238 - £13,674

 

1 x Vacancy 30 hours per week, school term-time only.

Pro rata equivalent salary £19,856 - £20,510

 

Candidates who are successful through the interview process will also be required to undertake and pass a minibus driving assessment.

 

These roles are available on a permanent basis

 The Governors at Thursby Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to join our friendly and caring school community. The successful candidate will work within our Key Stage 1 class, helping to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing in a positive and nurturing environment.

This position is a fixed term post from Monday 1st June 2026 until Friday 28th May 2027. This post is fixed term due to maternity cover.

We are looking for a highly motivated STA with experience of working in KS1 who is;

Vacancy 1 - Key Stage 2 Class Teacher (0.8fte) – permanent role to start ideally from 1st June 2026, but a later start date could be arranged (no later than 1st September 2026).  This role could be undertaken by 2 teachers working 0.4fte each.
