Fixed Term, Part Time

30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm, Term Time Only

Salary: Grade 7 £28,598-£29,540 per annum, pro rata

 The Governors at Thursby Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to join our friendly and caring school community. The successful candidate will work within our Key Stage 1 class, helping to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing in a positive and nurturing environment.

This position is a fixed term post from Monday 1st June 2026 until Friday 28th May 2027. This post is fixed term due to maternity cover.

We are looking for a highly motivated STA with experience of working in KS1 who is; 
•    Positive and enthusiastic
•    Self-motivated and reliable
•    Caring, nurturing, patient and have high expectations of themselves and others
•    Able to effortlessly build rapport with children
•    Knowledgeable about the KS1 curriculum 
•    Able to demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills
•    Able to promote an inclusive whole school ethos
•    Able to work closely with experienced teachers to promote pupil progress

The Governors and Headteacher of St Herbert’s CE Primary and Nursery School are looking to appoint two class teachers, to join our friendly, supportive and hard-working school team.

Vacancy 1 - Key Stage 2 Class Teacher (0.8fte) – permanent role to start ideally from 1st June 2026, but a later start date could be arranged (no later than 1st September 2026).  This role could be undertaken by 2 teachers working 0.4fte each.

Vacancy 2 - Full-time, Key Stage 1 Class Teacher - fixed-term from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2028, due to reducing pupil numbers.
