Hours: Full Time  (32.5 hours per week) 

The Headteacher and Governors of Upperby Primary School wish to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and suitably qualified teacher to join our school on a temporary, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.

This position is suitable for an experienced, bright and dynamic teacher who is eager to join a well-run school with excellent support from staff, parents and governors, and who meets the person specification for this post. Key Stage 1 experience is essential.

Our vacancy is for one TA to work 32.5 hours per week from 8:30am – 3:15pm + one meeting after-school per week and one TA to work 20 hours per week over 3 days.  TAs work 38 weeks in term-time and 1 week during school closure per year.

The role involves supporting the learning of students with SEND in Years 7 to 11, in and out of the classroom.  Students demonstrate a wide range of learning needs, including SEMH, Speech Language and Communication, and autism. You will work with a variety of students, including those with an Education, Health and Care Plan and those who are on the SEND register for support. You will work within a whole class setting or on a 1:1 basis when required.

About Our Home

Parkside is a comfortable, homely and safe environment which provides 24 hour residential care for the elderly frail.

Working within our Residential Care Service will typically involve working shifts which usually cover between 7am until 10pm (days) or 9.30pm – 7.30am (nights), over 7 days, 365 day a year – this will include alternate weekends (as part of a set rota) and Bank Holidays.
