Permanent Part-Time Kitchen Assistant- Term Time Only

OP1 £23,656 per annum , pro rata  – Plus the living wage supplement – hourly rate £12.60  pro-rata Salary: £11251.80
Hours: 20 hours per week – 9.15am to 1.15pm daily
(Term time only – 39 weeks)

We are looking for a reliable and conscientious kitchen assistant to join our committed, hardworking and enthusiastic team. 

The successful candidate will:

•    Have good communication skills and relate well to adults and children 
•    Be able to work quickly and efficiently
•    Stay calm under pressure
•    Be committed and hard working
•    Have knowledge of or have a willingness to gain knowledge of basic food preparation procedures
•    Have knowledge of or have a willingness to gain knowledge of cleaning procedures
•    Have knowledge of or have a willingness to learn Health and Safety procedures and precautions 
•    Have awareness of health and hygiene procedures
•    Be willing to use relevant equipment
•    Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of team

(Part-time 7.5 hrs per week 3.30pm to 5.00pm – 38 weeks term Time + 1 week + annual

• Can ensure effective school cleaning
• Works well on their own and has a sense of humour
• Is determined to make a difference to the school community
• Is able to work within structured timings but also be flexible

We offer a great working environment with friendly staff, parents and children.

ALSO free place in after school club for any children you have at the school (after school
club is 3.30pm to 5pm). Note that there may be odd occasions when you will need back-up
childcare, if the club isn’t running.
