We are looking to appoint two dedicated, skilled and caring Teaching Assistants to take on a range of roles within classes across the school. The successful candidates can expect to be class-based and: work with groups and individuals, support children with additional needs, deliver planned interventions, help with pastoral care and support trips and other school activities. Senior Teaching Assistant

The Governors of St James’ C of E Junior School would like to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and highly motivated, part-time Senior Teaching Assistant to support school-wide teaching and learning initiatives as well as focusing and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. Skills and qualifications required:
•    NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Education or Children & Young People
•    Recent experience in a school setting and work with Autistic children
•    A reflective, organised practitioner who can contribute to planning, monitoring and assessment of pupils.
•    An enthusiastic team player who communicates well with children. 
•    A commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
•    Ability to plan/prepare and deliver learning activities/teaching programmes
