Playground Activity Organiser

Playground Activity Organiser 7.5 hours per week (term time only)

A vacancy has arisen in our school, for a Playground Activity Organiser. The successful candidate will work closely, as part of a team, with other lunchtime staff to ensure pupils are happy and safe during the lunchtime break, supervising pupils in designated areas of the school during the lunch break and ensuring the safety, welfare and general conduct of pupils through appropriate application of the school's policies and procedures.

 

  • Duties will include: organising and monitoring the use of play equipment, ensuring that the play equipment is set out at the beginning of lunchtime and tidied away at the end, initiating lunchtime games and activities and encouraging pupils to participate in a range of games, preparing children for the lunchtime break by the supervision of washing hands, escorting children to and from the hall (where necessary), assisting during meal times, cleaning up tables etc, developing children’s table manners, dealing with behaviour incidents in line with school policy, dealing with minor first aid / incidents and to be aware of the fire drill and other health and safety procedures.

Previous experience of working within a school, or with children, is desirable but not essential. Training will be given where required.

Uniform will be provided by the school.
