This is a fixed-term appointment until 31st August 2027 due to pupil pupils
Moresby Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and well-being of its pupils, engages with young people and staff in Policy and practice developments, proactively encourages feedback and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Please note that the nature of this post means that a suitable Enhanced Disclosure (with relevant barred list check(s) if the post will be in Regulated Activity), and a confirmation that the applicant is not disqualified from working with children will be required for the successful candidate.
We have a rare opportunity for a wonderful class teacher to join our team and help us nurture and develop our children. In the first instance, the post is 0.7FTE and the successful candidate will be based in our Early Years Foundation Stage.
Working at Moresby School is both challenging and fulfilling, and as our pupil numbers are growing, it’s a great time to join our team! We expect the very best of each other in order to give our children fantastic learning opportunities, and to help them make the greatest possible progress.
While we work very hard, we also have a lot of fun; we laugh every single day, and have special events through the year which help our children grow in all sorts of ways.
The successful applicant will
• Have high expectations of themselves and the team around them, and the commitment to achieving the best for our children - both academically and personally
• Be a positive role model to pupils, staff, families, governors and the wider community – demonstrating high levels of motivation and enthusiasm
• Be committed to inclusion, and be able to provide exciting, stimulating opportunities for children of all abilities
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Preferably have experience of teaching in the EYFS
• Preferably have experience of subject leadership
That said, we welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their career.
We can offer
• A lovely village school with enthusiastic and experienced teachers and teaching assistants, who are dedicated to ensuring every child succeeds
• A senior leadership team committed to staff and pupil wellbeing and mental health
• Amazing children and supportive parents
• Opportunities to take part in training and professional development
