We are looking to appoint a proactive Service Lead, for the Children’s Systems Development and Support Team responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of our Children’s Case Management systems – (principally System C LiquidLogic LCS & EHM).

 

The team leads on projects to fulfil business needs and provides support to the end user. The Service Lead role has a strategic position working closely with senior colleagues agreeing projects, timescales and deliverables.

 

This will enable Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness Councils to deliver a high-quality service to their customers, guaranteeing compliance with statutory requirements and undertaking on-going analysis to support effective service delivery.

Cumberland Council is currently delivering a hosted ICT Service for Cumberland Council, Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service. The provision of these services will be disaggregated at a future date and this role has been allocated to Westmoreland and Furness.

 

This role is full time on a permanent basis and will be primarily based from home.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a key point of contact for the Childrens Social Care & Early Help service areas
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for sourcing solutions which will help bring a positive outcome to both councils
  • Contribute to wider system service planning by establishing and understanding specific business needs
  • Evaluate new systems products, upgrades and enhancements

 

 

Who we’re looking for

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has knowledge and experience of using LiquidLogic LCS/EHM systems. You will have good communication skills and can build relationships to help both councils meet the needs of their children & families. You and your team will support the business to harness the technology available to them, as well as deliver training and ensure consistency, so the ability to adapt your communication style to the required audience is key.

 

You will have an understanding, of relevant local authority legislation including GDPR and Information Security. A team player who can work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail you will bring innovative solutions and strong problem-solving skills to the team.

About this opportunity

 

This is a key role in our HR Advisory team where you will be delivering a proactive and high-quality HR service across Cumberland Council. You will provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, helping to ensure best practice and compliance with legislation as well as supporting the Council’s transformation and change agenda.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and develop line managers in handling complex HR cases.
  • Be the main contact for issues like disciplinary actions, grievances, performance, sickness, and settlements.
  • To work as part of the HR Advisory team to provide excellent customer service to managers and employees.
  • To coach and train managers on HR policies and case work
  • Lead integrated approaches to casework, track performance, and implement improvements.
  • Help shape and maintain HR policies and manage the people management portal system for HR Case Management.
  • Support broader workforce initiatives aligned with the Council’s strategic goals.

This role is available on a 12 Month fixed-term basis.

Breakfast and After School Club Assistant


Breakfast Club Assistant and  After School Club Assistant 
(Part Time, Term Time only, Permanent)

Both positions salary PCD3 £24,027 per annum , pro rata ( this includes the living wage supplement hourly £12.60) 
Breakfast Club 5 Hours per week, actual salary £2,810-£2,854
After School Club 10 hours per week, actual salary £5,620-£5,708

St James’ C of E Infant and Nursery School is a successful infant and nursery school with a friendly, vibrant school community. We offer a standard of education and a sense of belonging within a safe Christian environment. We aim to provide our children with the foundations of learning to ensure they “Choose the right path”.  This is our vision for all of our children.

We wish to appoint a Breakfast Club Assistant and After School Club Assistant from September 2025 to support the children using our Breakfast and After School Clubs.  The posts will be for 5 hours per week, 7.40am-8.40am in the Breakfast Club and 3.15pm-5.15pm in the After School Club, both daily Monday to Friday, term time only.

We are looking for someone who: 
•    Is kind, consistent and willing to ‘go the extra mile’ to support pupils and enable them to flourish, in support of the school's Christian ethos.
•    Has a recognised, relevant Level 2 or equivalent and has an interest of working in an Infant setting.
•    Is enthusiastic and willing to plan and provide exciting and creative activities which support learning and development and enthuse the children (including those with SEND) within the club.
•    Is adaptable, able to work constructively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
•    Has an awareness of health and safety and will work collaboratively to ensure the environment is safe and suitable.
