The Governors of Derwent Vale Primary & Nursery School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated part time teacher to join the team at our successful school. The post is to teach across the school from EYFS to Year 6 covering Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) sessions and other teacher release time.

Our Science department comprises of specialist teachers in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. We deliver the National Curriculum using Activate resources to KS3, then we move on to AQA Trilogy supported by AQA Triple Award. As we have specialists in all fields we are able to deliver A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Applied Science. As a department we are lucky to be supported by two excellent technicians who support us with our practical work, they are always on hand to try new practicals and enjoy coming up with new ways to carry out practicals.  In our new school building we are all located on the same floor, with six large science labs and an enviably large prep room, all with views across the playing fields and farm fields.
