The successful candidate will:
•    Be well-organised
•    Be self-motivated with excellent communication skills
•    Driven to support students to achieve their best
•    Have relevant Level 3 qualifications in relevant discipline
•    Appropriate Level 2 in both English and Maths at grade C or above

Previous experience is desirable however full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Teaching Assistant with SEND

Required from September 2024 to 31st August 2025

 32.5 hours per week - term time 

This school wishes to appoint one temporary Full-Time Teaching Assistant from September 2024 to provide support for named pupils in line with school SEND needs. 

The postholder will need to be:

•    NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
•    able to support our whole school inclusive ethos
•    a key worker for individual children, providing for and supporting their needs
•    experience with working with children with additional needs linked to their EHCP’s 
•    experience with supporting children with communication and interaction needs
•    knowledge of Early Years or Key Stage 1 practices 
•    able to work with all stakeholders, enabling the child to reach their full potential
•    have strong behavioural management skills
•    an enthusiastic, committed and successful practitioner
•    able to work responsibly and collaboratively within a team

Attendance Assistant

Attendance Assistant
37 hours per week, term-time only (+5 days)

Required to start in September 2024, a suitably qualified and experienced person to support our busy attendance department.

Key duties include:
•    Support Attendance Officer with general administration duties
•    Maintain computerised attendance records for all students – based on six session registrations per day
•    Print off class and tutor registers when required, e.g. for supply teachers without a school laptop or for a computer systems failure
•    Ensure there are records available to be used should the Fire Alarm go off
•    Operate, monitor and update the student absence records, contact parents/carers and inform relevant members of staff as appropriate
•    Prepare and analyse pupil attendance and punctuality reviews
•    Support families to improve attendance – conduct home visits with Attendance Officer
•    Take minutes and attend Inclusion and Attendance meetings
•    Attend Parents’ Evenings to promote attendance
•    Nominated first aider

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential and a knowledge of SIMS would be advantageous. Full training and support will be provided.
