The Directors of Mater Christi Trust are looking to appoint a Clerk to the Board

Contract: Permanent, Full Year, 15 – 20 hours per week subject to discussion (flexible working available)
Salary: Grade 15, SCP 36-37, £47,181 – 48,226 per annum (£19,127.43 – £19,551.08 pro rata based on 15 hours per week).
Location: Blessed Christopher Robinson House, Carlisle  
Required start: As soon as possible

The Clerk to the Board will provide strategic leadership for governance across the Mater Christi Trust, ensuring effective, compliant, and high-performing governance at Board and Member level. The role ensures governance adheres to statutory and regulatory requirements, reflects good practice, and supports effective decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is dedicated, professional, and motivated to make a meaningful contribution to the life of the Trust by enabling effective governance in service of children, families, and communities.

We are looking for someone who:
•    Has strong organisational skills 
•    Is confident working at a senior level 
•    Has strong understanding of governance or a willingness to develop expertise in this area 
•    Understands and is committed to the values and purpose of Catholic Education

Essential Qualifications: 
•    Educated to degree level or equivalent profession experience 
•    Recognised governance qualification or working towards one (e.g. ICSA/CGI, NGA, equivalent) 
•    Strong working knowledge of charity and company governance
