We are currently looking to expand our team of exam invigilators to provide support in the conduct and running of internal and external examinations throughout the academic year and to ensure that the Joint Council for Qualifications’ (JCQ) regulations and procedures are followed and adhered to at all times.

This role is on a casual basis, as and when required throughout the academic year during exam periods. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assisting with setting up examination venues; distributing exam papers, stationery and equipment in accordance with set procedures;
• Assisting candidates prior to the start of examinations; directing candidates to their allocated seat in accordance with exam seating plans, ensuring that only authorised items are taken into exam venues and that formal exam conditions are adhered to at all times;
• Providing instructions and exam specific information to candidates prior to the start of the examination; 
• Identifying candidates and completing attendance registers; 
• Monitoring and observing candidates throughout examinations; being vigilant at all times and aware of ways in which potential malpractice may occur; 
• Escorting candidates from the examination venue during examinations as and when required, and supervising candidates whilst outside of the examination venue;
• Collecting and compiling scripts at the end of the examination in accordance with set procedures prior to return to the Exams Officer;
• Dismissing and supervising candidates from examination venues; ensuring that candidates leave in a quiet, timely and orderly manner.

We also have the opportunity for invigilators to assist candidates with approved exam access arrangements, including reading and scribing for individuals / small groups of candidates and invigilating candidates with use of word processors.
