We are offering the joint role of teaching assistant and after school club practitioner. This post will be fixed term up until 17th July 2026.
Teaching Assistant:
• 32.5 hrs a week, (8.30am – 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch)
• Grade 5, SCP6
After School Club Practitioner
• After School Club Practitioner: 2.00 hrs a week, working day is Friday 3.30pm-5.30pm
• Grade 5, SCP6
The Local Governing Body of Wreay C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and hardworking teaching assistant to work in our school community primarily in out EYFS and Year1/2 Class. The contracts are fixed term initially, linked to identified SEN pupil.
We are looking for an individual who:
• Is passionate about helping children to develop a love of learning.
• Is well organised, flexible and supportive.
• Is patient, caring and fun.
• Has at least a Teaching Assistant NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
• Can work as part of a happy, successful team.
• Has a good understanding of effective teaching and learning
• Is able to recognise and respond to the individual needs of pupils
• Uses initiative to adapt and develop engaging learning activities.
• Is committed to quality teaching and learning support.
• Is able to build positive working relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
