We are seeking to appoint a professional, highly motivated and organised IT Technician to assist in the administration of the school network and the use of the school’s ICT facilities. 

The successful candidate will be a hard-working team player with a wide range of IT skills. Ideally, you will have a good knowledge of Microsoft server technologies, (Windows Server 2016 – Hyper-V, AD, Group policy etc.), Microsoft Office 365, Configuration Manager and back up solutions such as Veeam. Knowledge of VOIP Phone systems, SIMS, Cashless Catering and Impero software would also be an advantage.

You will have experience working in the IT industry (preferably in a school or education environment) and should have a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline.

Bridekirk Dovenby Board of Governors are seeking to appoint a Clerk, an important part of the effective running of our school. You will provide administrative support to the Board ensuring the governing body can fulfil their duties. 

The main duties of this position are to advise the governing body on governance, procedural and constitutional matters, manage memberships, administer meetings, maintain appropriate records and manage information, in line with relevant legislation, guidance and best practice. The clerk will be provided with all relevant training to allow them to fulfil this position. 

The successful candidate will have experience of working effectively in a clerk / administrative or secretarial role and be motivated and able to work independently. Candidates should also have experience of effective record keeping, strong IT and communication skills and be committed to maintaining confidentiality at all times. 

Over the year, the clerk is expected to attend a minimum of 4 full governing body and 3 (x3) sub-committee meetings which are usually held during the evening and are a mixture of online and face to face. These are arranged in September for the academic year ahead. The remainder of the hours can be worked at the clerk’s discretion.

We are looking for highly organised and efficient candidate who can fulfil our Clerk to the Governors role on either an employed or self-employed basis. 
 
The Clerk provides effective administrative support to the Board of Governors and its committees, advising on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, duties and powers. The Clerk is accountable to the Board of Governors, ensuring that the Board is properly constituted. 
 
The Clerk to the Governors will work closely with the Chair of Governors to ensure that meetings are convened, minutes and records of attendance at meetings are taken and kept, and notices issued and received in accordance with the relevant regulations. The role involves some small administrative tasks such as filing of minutes and keeping Governors records up to date. The candidate also needs to have strong attention to detail and have ability to deal with sensitive information with the utmost discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times. 
 
The candidate, with previous experience preferable but not essential, should be motivated and able to work independently who can ensure that the administrative and procedural requirements are met so the Governing Board can fulfil its statutory responsibilities. 
 
There is some flexibility with hours but we will need the successful candidate to attend our governor meetings in school, which may be during the evening. The rest of the hours can be worked during the week at the Clerks own discretion. Training will be available, if required.
