The Governors of All Saints’ CE Primary School wish to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly staff in our inclusive and thriving school in the gem market town of Cockermouth, on the edge of the Lake District. The post is a permanent, full-time appointment within our Strategically Resourced Provision. 

We are looking for an excellent practitioner who:

•    Forms positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents
•    Has a minimum of NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
•    Has experience of working with autistic children
•    Works creatively to provide high quality learning opportunities for pupils with SEND
•    Maintains a caring, consistent and supportive learning environment
•    Is flexible and committed to the varied life of the school.
•    Is committed to the safeguarding, development and well-being of the children
•    Preferably has experience of working within the Equals Semi Formal curriculum
•    Has an enthusiastic approach to leading a small team of STA’s and fosters an approach with innovation at its centre

Broughton Moor Primary School are looking to appoint a positive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, who will provide high quality support to children in our setting. The appointment will be a temporary post, linked to pupil numbers. 

You will have at least an NVQ 3 in supporting teaching and learning skills or the equivalent and have experience of working with children across the primary phase, particularly early years phase.

We need someone who:
•    Has a good working knowledge of the principles of the Primary and Early Years Curriculum.
•    Has experience of supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis both in class and in interventions. 
•    Enjoys working with children and can form positive and supportive relationships with children, adults and parents/guardians.
•    Is committed to working in the outdoor classroom.
•    Can demonstrate positive and consistent behaviour management.
•    Can be flexible and is able to demonstrate the ability to work and contribute to working as part of a small team.
•    Is reliable and has a good sickness and punctuality record.

The successful candidate will:

·      Take responsibility for the pupils’ welfare, safety and supervision during the lunch break.

·      Encourage good behaviour amongst students.

·      Assist with cleaning duties.

Previous experience is desirable however full training will be provided for the right candidate.
