We are welcoming applications for the following roles to join our teams supporting all pupils at Cockermouth School and in particular pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.  Our Learning Support Department encompasses a Specialist Resourced Provision for Autism (SRP):

•    Teaching Assistant
•    Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Successful candidates will have the initiative to work independently, a willingness to learn and develop, capacity to contribute to a team approach, flexibility and a genuine empathy for pupils with SEND. For the TA post, awareness/experience in autism and a willingness to be trained is required. Candidates should hold, or work towards, a relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification at the appropriate level.

GCSE grade 4 or above in English and maths (or equivalent) is required for all posts.

The school business manager (SBM) is responsible for managing the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school, including financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance and administration.

They will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows other members of the leadership team to focus on teaching and learning.

The governors of Wiggonby C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant, to cover maternity leave, to support pupils and staff throughout the school, but primarily within upper Key Stage 2. Candidates should hold a relevant and minimum Level 3 qualification for teaching assistants. Previous experience of supporting children with SEND would be an advantage.
This post may also suit a newly qualified teacher to gain experience of working in a school.
