Temporary Part Time Teaching Assistant
PCD5 pay scale P6 - £26,769 per annum pro rata
Hours: 15 hours per week (mornings)

We are looking for a reliable and conscientious teaching assistant to join our committed, hardworking and enthusiastic team to work with SEND children. We need someone who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and can make strong positive relationships with a 1:1 support role.

The job is temporary until 16th July 2027 initially as a 1-1 support.

The successful candidate will:
• Have a recognised Level  3 qualification relevant to Early Years and Key Stage 1
• Have a good understanding of child development and be passionate about learning in the Early Years and Key Stage 1.
• Be adaptable, able to work constructively as part of a team
• Be committed to inclusion and to providing exciting learning opportunities for children with a wide range of needs
• Have a good understanding of practices and procedures within education relating to the welfare and safety of children and be committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all children
• Have experience of working with SEND children.
•    Be enthusiastic and committed to raising standards
• Be a dedicated team member who can use their own initiative and is able to be flexible

The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

•    Use ICT effectively to support teaching and learning
•    Contribute positively to the wider life and Catholic ethos of the school

We are looking for someone who:
•    Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
•    Holds the HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
•    Has experience of working across the primary age range
•    Has a good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
•    Has strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
•    Can demonstrate positive and consistent behaviour management
•    Is organised, flexible and proactive
•    Builds positive relationships with children and adults
•    Works effectively as part of a team
•    Has high expectations for all pupils
•    Will support and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school
