Flimby Primary School  is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated Apprentice Learning Support Assistant to join the team. This is a key role in providing a welcoming and safe environment for staff, students and visitors.

We are looking for a well-organised, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills. You will work to promote effective participation, enhance learning, and raise aspirations to help all children achieve their full potential. You will also play a key role in supporting teaching colleagues.

The successful candidate will:
•    Study towards the CACHE Level 2 or 3 Support Teaching and Learning in school
•    Provide support and guidance to children, young people and those engaged with them
•    Appropriate Level 2 in both English and Maths at a grade C or above.
•    Up to date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures within education relating to the welfare, safety and education of pupils.
•    An understanding of principles of child development and learning processes.

We are seeking to appoint a professional, highly motivated and organised Pool Operations Manager.

This is an exciting new opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and visionary individual to work within the new Campus Whitehaven community.  

We are looking for a candidate who has drive, passion and the ability to work flexibly.  

The successful applicant will be required to safeguard the pool for both the Campus and the community including promoting the pool and facilities to generate new sources of revenue. To maintain safety and cleanliness of the pool, changing areas and Campus-wide facilities for hire, including all appropriate monitoring and checking to comply with statutory requirements and regulations. To oversee a programme of maintenance, inspections and events linked to the pool and surrounding area working within a framework of health and safety legislation. 

This is a permanent full time post 37 hours per week.

Teaching Assistant SEND experience desirable

This will involve you working with teachers and the SENDCo to adapt the curriculum the broad and balanced curriculum offer to meet the individual needs including the teaching of reading, involvement in PE sessions, going on school trips and residentials. We provide a full programme of extra-curricular activities, outdoor learning programmes and sporting opportunities.

You will also be involved in leading playtime activities with children and supporting within the hall during dinner times.

This position is permanent. The hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 3.30pm each day.
