Welcome to Cumberland

Residents across Cumberland are being encouraged to make sure their details on the electoral register are correct as the council begins its annual canvass of electors – a process which looks to ensure the details it holds are up to date.

Residents and visitors gathered in Carlisle city centre on Saturday (27 June) to mark Armed Forces Day, with a well-attended event celebrating the contribution of the UK’s Armed Forces – past, present and future.

The opportunity to have a say on Carlisle’s long-term future is available from today (Monday 29 June).
